Mark your diary and have your say – a word from our director
The summer is slowly coming to an end and from the IHI Office we are wrapping up August with a ‘light’ newsletter and some dates for your diaries in the coming months. If you haven’t yet registered for the IHI Forum, now is the time – the IHI programme is built around interdisciplinary collaborations, and our annual event is your opportunity to connect across projects, build new connections, and find European partners ahead of next year’s calls.
This year you will also find IHI, together with our projects and other partners, at the European Health Forum Gastein where we’re hosting a session on ‘Regulatory sandboxes as innovation partnerships’. We’ll explore how public-private partnerships can support the development of new approaches in Europe’s health ecosystem – do join us, either online or in person.
Finally, the European Commission has launched a public consultation on European partnerships and how they can be strengthened in the future. The consultation is important; the results will shape the future European health partnerships and how joint undertakings will work in practice under the next Horizon Europe programme. Take the opportunity to share your experience and views. Health innovation is a complex, multistakeholder endeavour – how will Europe find the system-level shifts needed for tomorrow’s healthcare? The consultation builds on the recent call for evidence – organisations and individuals who already submitted responses to the call for evidence are also encouraged to respond to this consultation.

Join IHI’s session at the European Health Forum Gastein
On 2 October, IHI will hold a session at the European Health Forum Gastein (EHFG) in Austria exploring how regulatory sandboxes can act as health innovation partnerships.
IHI call 13 deadline approaching
