Every year, the Innovative Health Initiative compiles an annual report reflecting on the main achievements and milestones of the previous year. Our IHI 2025 In Focus publication is a short summary of that, outlining the key highlights from the full edition.
In 2025, IHI embraced experimentation, trialling novel approaches and questioning the status quo. Innovation is our lifeblood, and that means exploring and trialling new approaches. With that in mind, we launched IHI’s first applicant-driven call for proposals, IHI call 9. This was brand new territory for IHI – whereas usually, we outline the specific challenges to be addressed by applicants, call 9 invited potential applicants to search through IHI’s strategic research and innovation agenda, identify challenges themselves and propose solutions.
