The draft texts of the topics expected for calls 14 and 15 are now available on the Future opportunities page of the IHI website. The call is scheduled for launch early 2027, but we are publishing the draft topics now to give applicants additional time to prepare a strong proposal and join or build a winning consortium.
IHI call 14
IHI call 14 will be a standard, one-stage call for proposals with the following topics:
- New non-animal approaches to accelerate drug discovery & development
- More predictive approaches for the clinical development of personalised healthtech
- Optimising the care pathway through integrated, scaleable and patient-centric systems
- Improving manufacturing and clinical centre readiness for ATMPs
IHI call 15
IHI call 15 will be a standard, two-stage call for proposals with the following topics:
- Developing an EU framework to ensure equitable patient access to compassionate use
- Enhancing decision-making for surrogate endpoint evidence for better patient outcomes
What happens next?
The topics are currently under consultation with our States’ Representatives Group (SRG) and Science and Innovation Panel (SIP). They may therefore change considerably between the versions published here and the call launch, and applicants should check the final, approved topic texts once they are published.
Nevertheless, we strongly encourage anyone interested in these topics to start preparing a proposal and get networking with potential partners.
IHI will hold info sessions the call around the time of the call launch; these will cover the topics as well as our rules and procedures.
