9 December 2022: Evaluation results and independent observer's report published
All proposals were assessed for eligibility, and eligible proposals were evaluated by independent experts.The results of the evaluation are summarised in this report and below:
- Number of proposals submitted: 18
- Number of inadmissible proposals: 0
- Number of ineligible proposals: 5
- Number of above-threshold proposals: 6
- Total budget recommended for above-threshold proposals: EUR 85 312 806.62
We have informed applicants of the results of the evaluation and invited successful consortia to start grant agreement preparation. Details of the projects selected will be published later on, once the grant agreements are signed.
Meanwhile the independent observer for the evaluation has produced their report, and the IHI Programme Office has issued its response to the report.

- Topic 1: An innovative decision-support system for improved care pathways for patients with neurodegenerative diseases and comorbidities
- Topic 2: Next generation imaging and image-guided diagnosis and therapy for cancer
- Topic 3: Personalised oncology: innovative people centred, multi-modal therapies against cancer
- Topic 4: Access and integration of heterogeneous health data for improved healthcare in disease areas of high unmet public health need

Indicative budget
- The maximum financial contribution from IHI JU for these topics is: EUR 135 million
- Industry / contributing partner contributions: Applicant consortia should ensure that out of the total project budget, at least 45 % needs to be covered by contributions provided by project participants
